Job Title: Inventory Allocation Analyst

POSITION OVERVIEW

American Giant is looking for an Inventory Allocation Analyst to join our rapidly growing business. You will support the planning team to manage the allocation of inventory to retail locations, and analyze sales to create optimal inventory buys and size buying ratios. You will have a constant pulse on sales, inventory turn, and inventory allocation. You will coordinate information across functions, working closely with Production, Logistics, Merchandising, and Retail Operations. You will report directly to our Inventory Planner.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The primary duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the allocation of inventory to various retail locations - establishing SKU replenishment points for optimal inventory efficiency
  • Analyze historical selling to create optimal inventory size buying ratios
  • Analyze data to determine optimal buy quantities within your category - implementing strategies for margin growth, improved inventory turn, and responsive inventory action
  • Continually monitor inventory levels and take responsive actions to ensure optimal use of OTB dollars
  • Maintain and communicate accurate information to teams on inventory flow dates
  • Perform weekly, monthly, and quarterly hindsights of the business
  • Manage existing processes, systems and calendars and implement new ones to drive efficiency

    DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED

    • 2+ years experience in retail and/or e-commerce allocation/inventory planning
    • Experience working on both digital and retail teams
    • Knowledge of product development, financials, and production
    • Strong Analytical and Retail Math Skills, specifically in inventory planning
    • Strong Excel Knowledge, experience modeling and analyzing inventory levels
    • Excellent communication skills - works closely with all levels of the organization
    • Ability to deal successfully with complexities of an expanding organization
    • BA/BS degree
