You may return/exchange unworn, unwashed, and undamaged items within 30 days of purchase.

Exchanges are only allowed for color or size variant of the same product title.

All discounted items purchased during sales are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged. Additionally, all pricing on items on these pages is final. Additional discounting can't be added retroactively after purchase.

Unfortunately, exchanges are not allowed for international orders.

All domestic return labels and shipping costs are covered by American Giant.

There are three ways to return / exchange your item(s):

  • Return / exchange in person with Happy Returns: START HERE

    Bring the item(s) you wish to return to a Happy Returns Return Bar location near you. No receipt, return label, or shipping box necessary! Just provide your email address or order number, and your refund will be initiated immediately. You can go directly to a location or Start Your Return online.

  • Return / exchange via mail: START HERE

    Start by visiting our Returns Center. You can either print a shipping label and drop off at the carrier listed on the label, or you can take your item(s) to a Happy Returns Return Bar to get your refund initiated immediately. You will receive an email when your return is received and your refund has been processed.

  • Return/ exchange in store: Visit any of our American Giant stores and provide your order number to get your refund / exchange initiated immediately.

The new exchange order will be placed upon receipt of the original item(s) by Happy Returns:

  • For exchanges done in Return Bar: You will receive a notification of the new order placed immediately when you drop off your item in the return bar.

  • For exchanges via mail: You will receive a notification of the new order placed when the item has arrived in Happy Returns.

After you drop off your item, if the item you want to exchange has gone out of stock you will receive a refund email instead and you will receive a refund for your items.

If you have received a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, contact service@american-giant.com with a photo of the damage, or the wrong item you received, as well as your order number. We’ll take care of you.

We currently do not allow exchanges for International orders.

If you have questions regarding an international return, please contact service@american-giant.com. Shipping for returns from outside the United States are covered by the customer.

If you return an item(s) from an order that was purchased with a Visa gift card, be sure to keep the card information. We will credit the amount of the purchase back onto the Visa gift card. Please note: If the card or card information is lost, we cannot recover the refunded amount.

Once your items have been processed at a Happy Returns Return Bar or dropped off in the mail, your refund will be initiated immediately. Please allow 5-7 business days for your refund to be processed by your bank.

We offer a lifetime warranty for material defects and workmanship. This does not include normal wear and tear. For questions on warranty claims please see our Lifetime Warranty page.
